Who Can Benefit?
MEN . . .
- who were raised in an environment with unhealthy anger
- who have experienced unfulfilling relationships, past and present, due to problems with emotional expression
- who have difficulties related to inappropriate anger (too much or too little)
Anger gone wrong all too often leads to words and choices we regret, damaged relationships, and a desire to erase what we’ve done. Some men respond to this havoc by locking anger inside themselves, while others continue with the cycle of uncontrolled anger and regret. The focus of this program is to assist men in learning new skills and practicing new responses.
The six 2.5 hour sessions held weekly will cover topics oriented towards developing strategies for managing anger that work for men. Each session will provide information on a specific topic, along with discussion and processing of thoughts and feelings. Graduated homework assignments allow participants to apply their newly acquired skills in their day to day living experiences.
